Introduction and Orientation
3:30-4:00pm Pacific / 6:30-7:00pm Eastern
You’ll see who is participating with you, and hear from artistic director Francisco Gella about what to expect for the weekend and how to get the most out of the experience. To prepare for the weekend, we will focus on the challenges you’ll need to address for improving and facing those particular obstacles without fear or judgment.
4:00-5:00pm Pacific / 7:00pm-8:00pm Eastern
Our opening ballet class will focus on how you can reinvent the way you look at yourself when taking class, challenge you to go further, never settle, and then developing the resilience to keep going. You’ll be challenged to present yourself with confidence – in a royal and regal way, honoring one of the primary principles of this very traditional yet beautiful art form.
5:00-6:00pm Pacific / 8:00pm-9:00pm Eastern
Your own experience with improvisation classes has informed what you think it is. We will take this particular improv class together to reinvent your perception of what it is – we will move beyond what is familiar and trendy. This class experience will help you accept and welcome movement that feels awkward and unfamiliar. These natural feelings come when something is new. New means different. Different means growth. Growth allows evolution.
